@runevision that’s smart! Gonna try it next time. In my last game I wrote a script that adds or subtracts 6 points of text size on any textmeshpro component based on a toggle state, but the drawback is the UI needs to be large enough to support it, which looks too bloated on desktops. This method would solve that 🤩

@freakenstein Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

If you're into notebooks, check out Karst - it's paper made from rocks! It's WATERPROOF(!), non-bleed, and feels great to write or draw on. Not a single tree cut to make it; in fact, for each purchase, they PLANT a tree. Looks just like paper, but nicer. And not even expensive neither. #nospon

While I wait for my second kid to be born, I'm putting together the final bits of my tiny western point-n-click. It's a remake of my first game from 2011. Including full voice-acting! Wishlist here to be notified when it launches: store.steampowered.com/app/288

Between all the shit that is happening, I find solace in hidden gems like store.steampowered.com/app/137 My god, what a bold fever dream of a game. More of this, please.

I'll be honest, despite all the amazing games that came out in 2023, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. It seems like everywhere you look, people are being laid off, studios are closing, investments are drying up; I feel like something is going to fundamentally change in our industry soon.

Always love getting a text from my lil’ vaccuum cleaner bud whenever he’s in dire straits.

Managed to sit down and wrap up my thoughts on all the great games from 2023 hedgefield.blog/2023-review-a- What was your GOTY? #videogames #goty2023

Oh sick they’re doing a remaster of the Y2K bug en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2

It’s kind of funny that as a newly-minted soulslike fan I’ve not played any FromSoft games. I went Death’s Door > Jedi Fallen Order > Mortal Shell > Lords of the Fallen > Jedi Survivor. But that first-person Elden Ring mod might be the one that does it…

I know Remedy is pledged to Poets Of The Fall, but Lord Huron is making a strong case for being an equally great Alan Wake musical companion band youtu.be/cYy7ljx7fyc?si=cdDQDI

I've emerged from Lords of the Fallen! After 69 hours I am a changed man. I often struggled getting to the endings of 2-6-hour games this year, but this one I just fell into and it proves that time doesn't matter if the game really grabs me. I'll consider that next time I'm intimidated by playtimes.

AH SHIT

2023-11-02

Dammit what did I JUST say?

2023-11-01

DON'T release any more bangers for the rest of this year PLEASE

2023-11-01

How y'all expect me to get any work done when Jusant, Alan Wake II AND Lords of the Fallen are out in the world?

2023-10-28

The dream.

What a day tomorrow; a new Alan Wake game and a 'new' Taylor Swift album are coming out, and it's my weekly personal day to boot. Sorry to-do list, you're toast...

Watching Psychodyssey made me nostalgic for my time at Paladin Studios, where I got to work alongside many talented colleagues as a game designer. It was a wild time where we made an 2D adventure game in Unity before it even supported 2D. Learned and laughed a lot, wish the game still existed.
