Organizations at different levels of maturity need different types of leaders. A startup needs a product leader. As headcount balloons you need an organizational leader. Once revenue/profit becomes important you need a business leader.
During the bull market we got cheerleaders.
Artists aren’t wrong to worry about AI coming for their jobs. It’s already come for the journalist jobs at CNet & Buzzfeed.
Tech disruption has a human cost and it’s now quite clear we have no solutions for the displaced workers. Gig work? Drive Ubers?

I, too, am up to date on my boosters, and I figured that as the pandemic dust settled, all kinds of “capitalism being capitalism” stories would emerge and be spun for political ends.
