Working in the games industry is pretty rough at the moment. There was barely any security before the dark times, but now it feels like you need to hang onto anything you can and hope this all shakes out in our favour.

@renkotsuban I am in desperate need to learn Japanese for real, and I have no option but to self study. Any experience with Bunpro? I have the core 2K deck on Anki but want something for grammar.
Also, what would be your recommendo for Kanji? I am nearly 40 and I don't want to keep learning "Mary is American and goes to high school" like Genki does for 8793647384 chapters if possible.

After a week of using PieFed I think I’m ready to give up Reddit. In the future if I can’t find the answer in the Fediverse I will look it up on reddit, and then create a thread to add the info for someone else who is surely also going to look for the answers over there one day.

@kylestarr it’s really a joke what is happening over there. If the project I was working on wasn’t tied to them I’d share some wild stuff I’ve heard.
Like them or hate them, they have tied up so many major studios now that I’m fearful for what is going to happen in the next five years, and what that means for tentpole teams who truly shape the industry.
@lyonsinbeta I am almost done with a replay of A Link to the Past in prep for revisiting this too. I played and loved it at launch, but never got around to playing a second time. Glad to hear it still holds up!!
