Shy, sad, occasionally smutty transby who's trying to make friends and not lose their shit.
Does all their best posting between midnight and sunrise. Also does all their worst posting between midnight and sunrise.

today's frustration -
trying to dig up more information on the internet about unreleased material from one of yr favorite cult bands
when some clown decided to name a piece of open source software after them, so all the search results are people yelling about content management systems, whatever the hell those are
watching football
Colossus HD is a ridiculous name for a horse, come on.
Also he just made an absolute mess of the wall, get out of here.
i don't think this is how pink floyd would have done it guys
watching a horse-jumping competition (the "puissance" or high-jump format as opposed to the standard time-based circuit format) because why not
and idk, horses are still weird
@BestGirlGrace faer tail, fear trail
important typos
@dragon bring back conversation pits!
@foone raw flashbacks, i had a copy of this one circa 1990
@dragon i think you gotta be wearing one of those jackets for that to work
@BestGirlGrace implying the existence of penn people
@schratze I was gonna say hyundai, and at that point, the question would be "is building tanks in south korea automatically fascist due to their relationship with the USA" but then they went and bought boston dynamics, who we know are DARPA-funded fuckholes, so they're out as well.
ferrari built aircraft parts and machine tools for the italian military in the early 40s, so they're obviously out. lamborghini's partly safe, they weren't founded until the 1960s, but now they're owned by VW, so RIP to that.
then I figured well, have the swedes ever been fashy? what's saab doing/done? building NATO fighters. hm. not the worst thing they could be doing, but not...great. And they got sold to GM, so I guess in the far future, they'll be making reactors for battlemechs when they're done propping up whatever idiocy the US will get into.
louis renault! refused to build tanks for the nazis! ...built trucks for them instead when they took over the factories - and died awaiting trial for collaboration charges, whoops. but then the french government expropriated the company! i have no idea where this counts on the scale anymore but they've still been doing business in russia, so, fuck it.
citroen? built trucks for the nazis when they invaded, but also sabotaged a bunch of them by mis-marking the oil dipstick, enough that when the french resistance raided the paris headquarters of the gestapo, citroen's president was found on a gestapo blacklist of people to be arrested. let's call it a maaaaaaybeeee wait fuck they merged with peugot in the seventies never mind
tata motors! indian company! unless they specifically did some nonsense for the UK, they're proba----wait, they got their start building trucks for mercedes-benz in the 1950s. fucking christ.
there's gotta be one
AMC! the people who gave us the gremlin and most of the mascots of the malaise years of american car building! ...also partnered with renault in the late 70s. aaaaagh.
there's gotta be---ooh, holden! what about the australians? well, they were in bed with GM and ultimately dissolved by them, so australian battlemechs, but still firmly in the US sphere of influence.
i give up, at least for now.
I suspect you're just not going to be able to disentangle "large auto manufacturer" from "heavy industry beholden to its government" in such a way that'll work unless you specifically look at a manufacturer founded recently enough to not be involved with a first-wave fascist government, successful enough to not be bought by or merged with a company that WAS involved with a first-wave fascist government, and located somewhere where they're not CURRENTLY beholden to a fascist government
which is difficult. especially at 4 AM.
my life in a single anecdote:
i bought like four tape measures because i got tired of constantly losing the one i had in this apartment
now i've lost all five in this apartment
@schratze i generally don't boost things because all the people i'm following are basically all following each other already
they all saw it, what am i gonna do, make them see it again?
