Made a silly joke in a job interview today, and the interviewer not only cracked up, but yes-anded me. Been riding that high all day, lol.
I make websites, sometimes even for money. I then spend that money on things I prefer to own, such as groceries.
If I've followed you, it's because I'm figuring out how to trap you inside a tiny, magical crystal. If you've followed me, please do not attempt to crystallize me—that would be very rude.
Also, I made a browser game called Threeka! You can play it, if you want, at https://threeka.com

@sir_pepe Way to go! You've earned a total of 100 Inspect Element Points! Share your DevTools achievement with friends to earn a three-day free trial of DevTools++ 😎
@argv_minus_one I recently watched Scavengers Reign (not Trek of course, but sci-fi!), and that show made incredible use of the medium of animation to portray a truly alien environment. It was delightfully weird, and I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it 😁
data structure so elegant it's an [objet Objet] d'art
@thudfactor Okay, now that is a bit of a nightmare. If only Web Components were around back then! I bet the angle bracket keys on your keyboard developed a lovely patina 😂
@beemdvp aw, thank you! i've got a whole list of little things i'd like to improve about it, but i'm pretty pleased at how the game has come together so far 😄
@maygame Ooh, good to know! I'm hoping to branch out to Godot and start working on a new game next year (time permitting, lol). I'll keep your string-parsing tip in mind, in case detailed SDL device checking isn't ready by then 😄
@maygame I love that it detects what type of controller you're using and labels the buttons accordingly. I wish every game did that!
#ScreenshotSaturday post that is actually a video. In Threeka, you can merge 2, 3, 4 or more planets together in a single move. With the right setup, merges will chain together, leading to a pretty satisfying payoff. You can play the game (and submit your high score to the global scoreboard!) at https://threeka.com
Frameworks are nice for sure, but nothing beats the simple pleasure of making a website with just HTML, CSS, and JS. No node modules, no build step—just you, and a code editor, and the soft green grass of static site development beneath your feet. Ah, what a dream.
gingerly pressing a curling iron to my phone, trying to burn off my browser fingerprint
you call it client-side code injection, i call it second-party javascript
@thudfactor This is great! I've got another good one for you: https://icon-sets.iconify.design/
It's got thousands of free icons with permissive licenses, which you can customize and download as SVGs or PNGs. I use this site all the time.

@Numerfolt Yesss, for real! This track in particular plays through my mind on a regular basis, haha.
By the way, that beautiful, impressionist soundtrack you hear while playing #Threeka was composed by my perennial creative partner, Local Space Patrol, who has a Spotify :)

I played #Starbound almost 10 years ago, and to this day, I still have its music stuck in my head. It's amazing how a good soundtrack can permanently embed the memory of playing a game into your brain.
@Numerfolt Also musst du dir Kofferwörter in zwei Sprachen ausdenken! That's fun :D
