Participated in what I’m 99% sure is my first hackathon ever at work today, and I built a macOS Menu Bar utility from the ground up using Cursor AI. Because of AI, I was able to accomplish an incredible amount of work in a single day and deliver a wider-scoped application than I otherwise would have been able to.

I’ll post some pictures of it later, but this app probably won’t ship publicly ever, and just be an internal app for us at Antidot, since it uses a lot of non-public Fluid Topics APIs.

As opposed to Srouji, here’s today’s example of why I’m not super sorry Alan Dye is leaving.

@marcoarment Hi Marco! Thanks SO much for adding per-episode artwork to Overcast. I put in a lot of time making unique show art for my daily podcast, and I’m so happy that they’re now displayed in my favorite podcast player!

Still so on the fence about a Tahoe upgrade for my Mac. I put 26.0.1 on my work Mac and it was fine-ish but definitely a few things I’m still not liking even after going to 26.1. And with my personal Mac, I just have so many intricate things set up that I’m worried will break.

So I dunno. I want to upgrade…but I also don’t. It’s a very weird feeling for me because I’ve always been a day-one updater, going back to OS X Leopard, and here we are on the .1 release and I’m still hesitant.

Can’t say I didn’t see that coming. Horribly mismanaged company these days. Hopefully Francisco Partners will fire Jamf’s CEO immediately and replace a lot of the VP-level “leadership,” who have collectively ruined a company that used to be an example to everyone of what a great workplace should be.

At least I’ll make a couple thousand bucks from the shares I still have. Which have done nothing but plummet year over year under Jamf CEO’s lack of leadership.

@imyke Yay!! I’m so glad you got around to trying Legends and that you like it! I’m absolutely loving it, I love the fresh take on battles, and the setting / story is really working for me. Also the first Pokémon game I’ve ever played where I’m competing in PvP!
