@RedRedneck I totally agree. Sadly, this runs contrary to the belief of a lot of people (often right wingers, but not exclusively) who believe that nobody should get anything that they "don't deserve". It's the origin of "scroungers, living off the state" rather than "a societal safety net, supporting those who need help".
