Hezbollah has releasead a statement detailing how it carried out the drone attack on the army base that killed at last four Israeli soldiers.

“In a qualitative and complex operation, the missile force launched dozens of missiles towards various targets with the aim of occupying the Israeli air defence systems,” the statement said.

“At the same time, the air force of the Islamic Resistance launched squadrons of various drones towards various areas in Acre and Haifa. The qualitative drones were able to penetrate the Israeli air defence radars without being detected and reached their target in a training camp for the elite Golani Brigade in the Binyamina area.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry says that 60 people had been killed and 168 wounded in Israeli attacks over the previous 24 hours.

Lebanon’s crisis response unit also recorded 57 air strikes and incidents of shelling in the same 24-hour period, mostly concentrated in southern Lebanon, the southern suburbs of Beirut and the Bekaa Valley.

In India, it is not considered rape if a man forces sex or sexual acts on his wife, as long as she is over 18, due to an exception in a British colonial-era law.

The U.S. announced new sanctions on Iran’s energy sector in response to its Oct. 1 attack on Israel when it fired roughly 180 missiles into the country.

Iran said the barrage was retaliation for a series of devastating blows Israel has landed in recent weeks against the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has been firing rockets into Israel since the war in Gaza began.

Body of Iranian commander killed in Israeli attack found.

The Public Relations Department of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that the body of IRGC Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan has been found.

On September 27, Nilforoushan was killed by Israeli strikes in Beirut. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was also killed in the attack.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who heads the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO), has criticised Israel’s plans to ban The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied West Bank and Gaza in a post on X.

“UNRWA was established by the countries of the world – the UN members – to ensure health and well-being of Palestinians and it has done so for over 70 years” Tedros said.

The Israeli army says its defences have intercepted two unmanned aircraft launched towards the country’s territory from Lebanon.

The military also said some 25 rockets were launched from Lebanon at about 8:30am (05:30 GMT), adding that some were intercepted while others fell in open areas.
