@azonenberg oh definitely. we have found three compiler bugs in our lifetime by following this strategy (we were not developing compilers)

granted one of them was kind of our fault, and the team were kind of "yeah, don't do that" about it

@Serenus yeah. the world is at war, and has been for quite a while, it's just that awareness is only now making its way into consensus reality.

@flippac right, exactly, it's that way for a reason, it's thematic. authoritarian bullies have outfits that project power, in part by all being the same.

we didn't talk to them, so we have no idea, maybe they just think those are the most interesting outfits. we just miss when things were simple, when we didn't have to wonder.

like, yes! if you do your own vacuum-forming of plastic sheets to make an entire outfit, we are impressed!

and it used to be, we'd even have good odds of having other stuff in common with you, too

so we saw some cosplayers earlier and

we miss the days when we could admire a costume on its technical merits without wondering whether the reason the entire group was in Empire outfits is because they like fascism

(it was a storm trooper, Darth Vader, and one of those officer uniforms. see, because today is May 4th.)
