Ahhh… the Aztec era… that so called "Paradise On Earth" by our very nationalist historians (or hysterians, in fact). A very nice place to be if you had an impenetrable force field around you. My advice is "Do not eat the pozole, and do not become the pozole main ingredient". But if you have some enemies you don't want to see again, you can offer them to the Aztec's chefs…=)

I can't understand more than a few words or phrases in Japanese. What I like about our Mexican* dubs is that the voices were so spot on that I can't enjoy the original audio of those old series. I just can't…=)

And it's the same for almost all series I've seen dubbed. I like the Chicago Fire/PD/Med TV shows, but I can't listen to them in English. The Mexican voices, to me, are better. And many voices from the 90's anime dubs are there, too…=)

@ixtlidekami well I miss the German dub a lot but it's just a thing because I grew up with and that I can't understand much Japanese.

On English series like Star Trek, Stargate, Simpsons I can exactly tell that I first watched them with German dub so German voice acting but my brain completely erased every felt disconnected feelings if I just hear it in English. After a scene most times I can't even tell if I watched it in English or German.
While in Japanese I simply know it's Japanese because I can't make sense of it.

The German Manga adaptation and the first dubbings wheren't the best either instead of explaining names with a side note or a lot * like it's often done in books they opted to go the full root of translation even for names but not for all of course ...

Just a mess like German Star Trek TOS episode titles that literally gave away the whole plot ...

They tried but sadly failed. I'm still standing, but life, the universe, and everything will keep on trying to finish me off for the foreseeable future…=)

I hate the tramitology at hospitals, btw… but one must do what one must do to keep the free service, meds, etc…=)

No-one is allowed to be this brilliant without also being a mess, it's a universal law of fiction and if I'm going to break every other law then I'll keep exactly two: this one, and the redemptive power of love narractive arc (buried heavily so as not to be mawkish).

1 1/2 oz Bourbon
3/4 oz Lime Juice
1/2 ox Simple syrup
1/4 oz Creme de cassis (Blackcurrant liqueur)
2 Dashes of Angostura bitters.

Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

(A Mason Jar will do just as well. Don't let that part stop you.)

The one about "life" is one of the Old Hag's favorite lines, the other being "Ya se lo/a/e cargó el payaso" "The clown already carried him/her/them", meaning "they're dead/going to die", depending on the context. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will die. They can only be royally screwed, but you get the idea…=)
