@Twoflower I do get this, but that’s true anywhere. I have to assume it’s an ego thing; there’s a prestige to a recognisable entertainment brand while steadily guiding the ship of some nameless packaging company is profitable but inglorious.

Normally you can't shut Google's AI Overview up, but yesterday I was searching for a service that would, after you die, turn your body into 3D printer filament so your loved ones could make striated plastic trinkets out of you, and AI Overview had absolutely nothing to say.

@Twoflower I will never understand why executives take on positions at entertainment companies. It’s a place that demands actual understanding of the product and a willingness to lose out on opportunities to maintain goodwill.

If your mindset is one that just looks at dollars, toilet paper is a great market. Everyone needs it, and customers are also motivated primarily by cost in that market. And plenty of others like it!
