@twostraws @kayathomas Haha yeah it's pretty cool, I think they're inviting people who are part of their Groundbreakers community in waves to the TF

I like coffee but I’m not fussy about it. I like to play overwatch but I’m terrible at it.

@refactoredd me! But I don’t have a PS5. I’ll just have to wait a year for the eventual PC release.
This is why I urge everyone who tried AI for coding 6+ months ago and gave up to try them again. Autonomous agents are no longer the future, they’re the present — things have changed, drastically so. https://blog.singleton.io/posts/2025-06-14-coding-agents-cross-a-chasm/
Open the door, get on the floor.
Everybody…
@paul my controls
@simonbs putting it front and center is a great change, but this has been there for a bit. Definitely not as discoverable.
@twostraws that MacBook teetering on that half wall to the left is making me nervous.
I’ve been using Codex with one of my side projects and while it’s amazing how it can go off to implement changes, I find very little joy in the process. I enjoy reasoning and writing code. This is instead describing the end state and reviewing code. Is this closer to how senior devs work?
@kyle
> Reading other people’s code is part of the job. If you can’t metabolize the boring, repetitive code an LLM generates: skills issue!
Are you sure you didn’t write it 🙃
Just caught up with a days worth of social media posts (~250 posts). In summary: we are cooked.
@kyle Good tip. I usually try to frame my questions with the end goal. Sometimes, it feels like I’ll add that context and then the other party disregards and just answers the question I asked in a way that doesn’t really answer the question. I’ll keep all of this in mind for the next time.
Sidenote: I think your attitude and approach to LLMs are extremely helpful and thoughtful. I’m trying to “git gud” at using them to combat the existential dread they present 😅
@kyle lol, I was gonna put you to task before I saw your second message 🙃
@kyle Thanks for this. I’ve been struggling with both recently - getting the needed info from other teams at work AND getting meaningful output from LLMs. I had a suspicion that it was me.
@matt RCS wreaked havoc on one of my group chats. Probably due to a mix of iOS, Android, and several different carriers.
For some, new messages showed up in a completely new thread which spawned new threads for recipients. Others, in the old thread. Others still, received messages as if the sender was messaging them directly.
Deleting the old thread and starting a new one manually didn’t fix the issue.
It was comical but we ultimately switched to WhatsApp.
@MuseumShuffle @CommunityKit
The Swift Student Stars talks were so good last year! Fun ideas and the students’ enthusiasm for Swift was infectious.
@kern the clock app icon is horrendous!
@kyle It’s crazy they’re willing to absorb a $1bil loss. Apple seems to be the only company that can do it.
@matt did this love bloom on a battlefield?
@cdf1982 when I read this I thought, “you know it’s bad when Gruber is grilling Apple.”
@ritchey_de @atpfm Why does Siri think you’re in the Southern Hemisphere?
