@willhbr @jeremyburge@threads.net I think I used to, but it logged me out and through sheer laziness just used whatever was still logged in
Posting from my Threads account (https://www.threads.net/@jeremyburge) into the Fediverse , but replying from here til that feature is added. It’s not ideal, but we’re all doing our best

@whophd @jeremyburge@threads.net faaake
@rustyshelf @jeremyburge@threads.net Yeah, I never mind a password fallback because it's saved in iCloud keychain. PIN is wild - like pick a random one you don't know, or duplicate one from your phone or bank, both of which are BAD calls. Hopefully passkeys become a suitable / recommended fallback in the docs??
@jelly yeah “animal doing x or y” or even “person doing x or y” mostly works acceptably!
I've yet to create a single Genmoji that was useful. It's a solid feature (custom inline images) bundled with the slop we've all come to expect from generative AI https://www.mobiletechjournal.com/genmoji-has-no-soul

@jelly @jeremyburge@threads.net I haven’t but I definitely will now. Think I just go swimming without using it??
@ Craig Federighi @ Tim Cook - can we please have a 👶 Baby Mode for Apple Watch? One that lets me glance at the time and my usual complications, but interaction isn’t possible without a side-press.
Basically 🎭 Theatre Mode, if it didn’t turn off the screen. Or do other parents have a better solution to babies doing this? vv
Can iOS ban letting apps know when we screenshot already? Google Maps pops up a silly share dialog, TV shows get blacked out.
Just now I screenshotted the QR code for a gig ticket and it gave me this 🥴
Travel & Places
The old icon more clearly indicated the two main items in this group (buildings and vehicles), so I kind of miss that.
I see the vision of only choosing existing emojis though, so the car isn't a bad choice here (as bike has a complex relationship being across this category and "Activity" for sport cycling).

Symbols category
Clear win. Hearts are some of the most used emojis, so hiding them under '🔣' (symbol for symbols) did them a disservice.
Yes it's less obvious now where to find 🆖 or 📳 or 💮, but that's fine because no one uses those anyway
10/10 change, long overdue

Animals (and nature) category
Think of an animal. What's the first one that comes into your head? Possibly a dog. Definitely not a bear.
was: bear 🐻
now: dog 🐶
Better all around.

New smileys icon: no better, no worse. Thinner stroke fits in with all the other new category icons

The new wider footpaths around the theatres on Exhibition Street are really nice. As is the physically separated bike lane. Some spots for new trees to go in (hopefully shortly) too 👏🌳 Melbourne

A lot of people misunderstood what I meant. This is what I want to do:
