I'm usually very positive on things and that's just a kart racer that always got under my skin control-wise and stage-wise, and don't see the point of the tag system.
(I also don't like MK64 for control and stage reasons, I do think Mario Kart didn't really get good until DS, even though I do like MK SNES alright)
Have to hold my tongue when I see people talk about MK Double Dash because I've always hated that game and still do lol

I went garage sale hunting today and I did actually see a fairly good deal on some PS3 games that were pretty solid and the guy *really* wanted to make me a deal on them but unfortunately it was all stuff I already have...... bad feels.
@farawaythyer oh yeah it's absolutely Ultima 4's open puzzlebox design at least from what I've gleaned of that one.
I'd argue 4, 5, and 6 lean more towards story but still have the puzzle box design. 7 has several smaller puzzle boxes with no real goal but to solve the mystery of the world until later (need to actually play through it). 8 and 11 are just more standard story based RPGs but the quest design still exists in interesting ways nonetheless.
Dragon Quest Chunsoft's biggest strength and merit is the puzzle box design of the world, where through the simplified RPG mechanics and adventure game design you slowly unlock more of the world as you proceed through the various quests, the box getting bigger as you unlock more to reach the eventual final goal you've known about the whole time.
Yes, local JRPG Fanatic and Massive Dragon Quest fan plays DQ3 for the first time and "Oh, this is why this game was rumored to almost shut down the Japanese Economy for a day it's that good".
Doing something incredibly stupid probably in DQ3 but attempting Warrior -> Thief -> Jester -> Sage just to see what happens.
I'm already at Jester I might as well see it through.

I got the permission I needed yesterday in regards to characters I can use for erotic scenes too. That part's gonna be fun.
The "gimmick" might be scary for some but fortunately it won't require what I needed to do for Corris 2.
But I still have to make some interesting choices in regards to progression and story needs in this project.
I also am going to try to write even less text but we'll see what I need lol.
....... you know... "scoping down" doesn't always mean the size of the game... sometimes it means keeping the mechanics small... right?
... this project is gonna be weird. I'm excited to get started in earnest this week.
