Looking back at #Jellyfin;
Here we are and v10.11.6 is out. It's almost a third of the year since 10.11 released and it's still hammered ass for large catalogs. 3rd party software & integrations are still warning users not to upgrade to it because large catalogs simply fail to load/search.
I should have realized the #Jellyfin team didn't have a sense of working at scale when their search didn't have a debounce (https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-android/issues/1542). ~27M entries? No problem we'll just hammer search every character that's entered. #smart
With no fix in sight then what do I see? They're rolling out breaking changes to their apps for the old version 🙄
