I sometimes use gpt to generate a description and I'm glad it's convinent... but it's not always readily there and I do feel stressed when I need to write one myself.
I sometimes think it's not a much worse crime than posting in a language you don't know...
I do wonder if it'll help if I do alt text in my first language around here.

@limneticvillains I constantly saw these posts around alt text and I was feeling a bit down because it's hard for me to write vivid description of pics in English. It's not my first language.

@xijiaoshui 10的质因子有2和5所以十进制下1/2 1/4 1/5 1/8 1/10这些是有限小数
二进制只有2所以只有1/2 1/4 1/8这些能写开了

@xijiaoshui 简单说的话因为0.1，0.2转到二进制其实是无限小数，1/10、1/5在二进制里就像1/3在十进制里一样没法完全展开，计算机处理的时候只能把末尾截掉，所以会出误差

@mint 刚开始当同人女的时候还没有方便的翻译器（但词典有屏幕取词）所以养成了啃原文的习惯
后来完全0日语基础但进过一个日文坑只能看翻译，但谷歌翻译质量确实不太撑得住，段落对照+有一点原文语言基础的情况对照看可能还可以，但确实很难受
印象里彩云小译之类的软件英译中质量会稍微好点
还有个情况是M分级以上的……这个就，呃，实在是不太敢信任翻译器

@fell open something in the background so it offers a steady distraction. In my case it's usually Touken Ranbu. It's a game that needs you to click on it every couple minutes but requires minimal attention otherwise to the extent that it can be a muscle reflection and it's the right amount of distraction for me to keep the rest of my focus on my work.
