Seasons are changing. Soon I'll have to hole up for the winter, switch to map reading mode, and plot new destinations and dream up new shenanigans.
I have a few posts up on the #MotorcycleMissions blog and wanted to share. It's been great getting to know so many people and being able to help out a community of awesome people.

I was hoping to add some car films to my Biker B-movie reviews, but I git a dud right out the gate...

Very unique car show came to town, and picked a unique venue to boot:
Heading back from Sturgis and making cool stops along the way.

I recently went up to Milwaukee for the Harley Homecoming bash. My real reason for attending though was to meet the people behind Motorcycle Missions, a charity for veterans and first responders involving building motorcycles as well as riding them.
I sum it up already in this blog post (link below) so I won't rehash, but I met some great people and really felt this was an organization I can contribute to in several ways.
Eastward: navigating change
There is still no plan for a big summer trip this year. I'm in the process of moving from southern Arizona to Kentucky, via Lake Tahoe, California, but with it being mostly interstate, there is little to get excited about as far as photography is concerned. I spent some time in Las Vegas helping a friend with a used truck he purchased, then shot up out of the desert heat into the quiet reaches of Tahoe in a single day (about 450mi).

Not quite Mad Max, but motorcycles help supplement the Russian war machine in Ukraine. #jkroams

Chatbots getting chatty, and getting pretty deep, too...

More dual sport rides around Tombstone and a stop in at the Bisbee Prowl, a biker rally that doesn't suck. #jkroams #bisbeeprowl #tblogger

This photo about the empty streets during the pandemic had me thinking more about how much I like quiet places. #jkroams

Lost vs Lost In The Moment
A weekly update that is more an inquiry of the nature of understanding and what is means to be present in the moment.

Bought a new (to me) car, got some tacos, started making a list for February. #jkroams
Biker B-Movies: The Wild Angels
The Biker B-movie that really launched the "Chopper Opera" genre is not Easy Rider or The Wild One, but it has familiar faces...

Another lap around the sun for planet Earth. Deciding where the beginning and end of a circle are is a bit more than I'd like to fathom at the moment, but the beginning of a new year is always a good time for reflections. I don't see reinvention though, but an apt time to simply look at progress, goals, check the definition of "here" and "there" and to see if all the effort is worth it.
Keep Them Doggies Rollin’
Sense of accomplishment is a funny thing. We can get it from summiting a mountain or fitting into our pre-Christmas skinny clothes. Really, who cares where it comes from? The main thing is, things must be getting checked off whatever list is in our head, or we wouldn't likely feel it. The last two weeks though I've had one main task that was actually several tasks smooshed together: do all the deferred maintenance on the Indian Chieftain after…
