@slips @nano @pretendo it’s easy for you to call it “bootlicking” when you carry none of the risk. You aren’t the one who will have their years of work thrown down the drain by Nintendo if they ever decide to drop the legal hammer. There are other places to get what you want, it doesn’t mean we’re willing to take that risk and potentially get our project shut down over something as stupid as piracy

This is EXTREMELY misleading and full of misinformation. They didn't give him "@ Muscan", they gave him "@ Musicfan". All of his followers, tweets, etc all carried over. They aren't "squatting on his 11 million followers" either, he never had that many. They renamed the old TwitterMusic account, which had the 11 million followers

Out of curiosity, have we worked together before? I remember back when AC:NH first released someone in OatmealDome's server was working on an app for the game and I was helping reverse engineer the BCSV file format at the time!

-follow some Black folks

-boost their posts

-do this semi-regularly

-listen to Black folks and support them when they complain about #racism they've experienced here or elsewhere, PLEASE do not get defensive about Mastodon. Work through those feelings on your own

Software development has been my passion since I first touched a computer over 10 years ago

What many of you might *not* know however, is that I’m a mechanic as my day job! I’m looking to quit and do software development, self employed, full time soon. But for now I work on tractor trucks!

It’s getting colder where I live and I work outside, so I got myself some new gear! I’m bad at selfies, lol

Not gonna lie: I haven't been as excited about a "new thing in tech" as I am about this recent growth of Mastodon in a looong time.

Sure, things right now are chaotic. And we're tearing at the networks we built over the years. It just won't be the same as Twitter.

But it's a breath of fresh air. It's the first new platform in a while I'm optimistic will actually work in favor of users more so than corporate greed.

Let's build something new! I can't wait to see where we'll take this 🥳
