If I wanted to learn to port Windows games to Mac/Linux (working with those low(er)-level APIs and such)... where would I start?

Apple’s Metal APIs seems like as good a place as any? But what else?

As part of an optional assignment, I managed to write a program in binary (for an 8-bit emulator) that prints a tiny histogram.

I've never been prouder of something so useless. :')

#swift/#ios folks re UICollectionViewCompositionalLayout; is there any way to have an orthogonal scrolling group display a partial group, like pictured (7 items in group, but only 3 cells show)? I got it working, but it's a bit hackier than I'm usually totally comfortable with.

Can we talk about how schools are planning to open in ~a month, with many admin advocating for waivers of the 6-foot rule, and how many teachers are essentially are elderly or have health issues that put them at increased risk of COVID...

Dreamt I was arguing with someone about an underpaid long term sub music teacher position while hanging out without high school friends at my old middle school.

The biggest thing that I dislike about the currently available video platforms options is there's no way at big "events" to see a group of friends and join a conversation, or to overhear someone say something and and respond to them. There's no space for social spontaneity.

Woke up early to finish TLoU2. It is... very good. Gave me the same feelings the first one did without retreading the same plot points, which honestly surprised me. So many interesting narrative turns. Beautiful and brutal. Could have toned the gore/cruelty down though.

My opinion about The Last of Us pt.II so far is that it is very good (just over halfway through?).
