@simoncox those are real though, so definitely worse!
Gentleman Graphic Designer/Artist who wears many hats. Shoegazer, Birder and over-eater of eggs. Rivers of London is my comfort blanket.
I woke up to a malevolent presence holding me tightly down to the bed. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak. All I could manage was a kind of muffled grunt, in a vain attempt to fight back or call for help.
Sleep Paralysis #3
I think I would prefer ‘Tracing paper and Caslon artboard’ to Liquid Glass.
Aside from the obvious lack of contrast/readability, those shiny edges are just too flippin' much.
Just back from our annual Bruvs holiday. Keen to make sure we all see each other outside of weddings and funerals we go away for a few days of walking, cycling, eating and drinking. This year we lucked out with the weather, staying in the pretty Peak District village of Ashford-in-the-Water. It was such a good reset!
@AnthonyBaker @Luke My biggest issue with Apple Music is the lack of native Last.fm support. Every other music streaming service has this, and I'm fed up of relying on third-party solutions to do this. Spotify does this well, but have such an overtly shitty attitude to artists.
Just like you, I already pay for Spotify family subscription, so I kind of have to justify the extra cost. I don't think the flip flopping will ever stop 🫤
@cdevroe I recently had to update the angle of the smell lines, to reduce any similarity to a famous Nazi!
@BenCotterill I was loving that story and then 😔
@sil Photos yes (as in it has a dedicated Photos app like Plexamp is for music), but facial recognition no :(
@sil I do this in Plex with music, where Dropbox syncs to my Synology NAS, and the music folder in Dropbox is selected as the music source in Plex. Works really well, and means I can easily add new music to Plex from my desktop. Metadata is stored in Plex I think. I would guess the same could be done for Photos?
@patrick_h_lauke Nothing for _years_ and then two nice projects launch in a week!
This project was a dream to work on! To coincide with the launch of the new V&A East, the V&A approached me to consolidate and redesign their icon library to echo their new brand typeface Spiller. The result was a library of 217 new icons, with all the size versions of each bringing the total to 606.
I've yet to visit the V&A East (only opened last weekend!) to get photos of the icons being used 'in the field' but I couldn't wait any longer to start talking about it. 🤗

I wonder where you could store your pants?
@onpaperwings you’re doing the Lord’s work! 🫡
Longplay for Mac 0.8.0 is available in Early Access.
🤖 Standout feature is a built-in MCP server to control playback, create smart collections, and interact with your music library from other apps, notably Claude Desktop. It's a cool showcase of the future that Apple promised at WWDC 2024.
Other improvements include better accessibility support, UI polish, Apple Music playback robustness, and more.
Grab the update through the app or from https://buy.longplay.app/. 1.0 is getting close!
@sitenonsite this is art in itself. 👌
@jasonsantamaria so spot on, thanks for writing this!
