@Old_IT_geek I’d like to see state legislation making it simpler for apartment complexes to install solar. There’s a visible gap between single owner buildings and multi-owner in what’s on the roof.

@fixatedpersonsunit so sorry to hear that, can’t imagine how wrecked you must be. Thanks for sharing a bit of what he was like.
@DjityDjity sadly we allow corporate corruption because of corporate corruption. You’re right though, it’s got to go!
@fixatedpersonsunit here is an apsect of Roblox that I was unfamiliar with

@ami indeed. Maybe it’s just a coincidence that MyGovID just changed to MyID, but we know which direction the government wants things to go.
@IndyMediaAus half a dozen paragraphs in and no substance… a YouTuber has a political agenda and raises money also from Patreon and donations from viewers. Is that news?
@rubenerd Just in case you haven’t see this one already: https://www.smbc-comics.com/
@rubenerd I was thinking similarly about the social media changes; how broad and vague the proposal is. Time and again, vague laws empower the enforcers who can decide who to stop and who to let go. Answering rhetotically, of course.
@delegatevoid interested to know why they might be untrustworthy. They say they re privacy first, are open source and you can self host. Are the AI prompts run by third parties or something perhaps?
@timrichards when the lemonade’s no longer available, the ad itself is somehow refreshing
When I tell people it’s on my radar
Don’t waste money and time on fancy classes or apps to learn a new language. Just set your location and now you can read like a native!
But seriously, why do the big tech companies confuse location and language? If I select English in Australia, why would I want Swedish in Sweden?
The upshot is all my YouTube ads are in Japanese, so I have no idea what they are selling but some of them are hilarious.
@webuiltthiscity @thomasfuchs may as well e-mail them your own terms of service which they automatically accept after 30 days
@timrichards sounds good to me! Maybe pair with tomato juice which many prefer in the air https://travel.stackexchange.com/questions/19808/why-do-people-on-airplanes-often-have-tomato-juice-as-a-drink
@johnnydecimal Well look at that, there's space on my network between arsenic and xenon... so palladium it is!
@johnnydecimal I have a cold spare, so here's hoping I can write to a single disk then rebuild the mirror on the NAS... after spending a couple of days copying data. Otherwise let the data juggling begin
@johnnydecimal Chemical elements here too, my Home Assistant server will now forever be hassium with IP ending in 108
@johnnydecimal Hey there, I'm interested and in Sydney. I'm currently running a 2x8TB mirror in an HP z600 but the power draw is around 100W. A DS216j would be an upgrade in terms of energy efficiency plus it's a lot smaller!
@jamesholden Sadly this seems to be the future: tracked our whole lives. I wear a mask when I’m out in the city and feel like I’m the strange one. We should be the ones choosing when we are anonymous and when we are not.
Hey Siri, remind me in ten seconds that I went to the kitchen for the scissors
