The message that goes unheard 🥲
Woah @mre ,you appear in a Prime video? :D
Hey 👋 We (Overleaf) are looking for a Senior Data Analyst. I don't know if this is a plus or a no-go, but you would be working indirectly with me. We very much appreciate applications from women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. And we are already (in several dimensions) a pretty diverse team!

🎉 10 years of #testcontainers!
A decade (!) ago, @whichrich did the first commit that started it all.
I'm incredibly grateful to him for starting this journey—and to Sergei for eventually pulling me in.
This project has changed my career and my life in many ways 🙏🐳
@agx mobile POSIX ^^
@chfkch @agx And if Uruk-hai are half ork half men, they are one half distorted Elb ^^
Btw Linux is for me the kernel, no the distribution and I thought it is substantially in use on Android, but I am not really an expert on it. Just was thinking about the Greg interview, where he clearly counts it as an important and highly complex Linux target.
@agx Android is Linux on Mobile, or what am I missing here? Greg Korah-Hartman just recently highlighted the complexity of maintaining Linux for mobile compared to servers, because of the amount of different subsystems involved.
@meistermeier Boah das hasse ich am meisten am Bahn Chaos, dass man in der Regel seinen Sitzplatz verliert. Und ab da ist dann schon alles stressig und nervig…
@raganwald @david_megginson Oh, that book actually looks quite cool :)
@jwildeboer But do you still print stuff? :)

@jesperancinha Wow, your website is rad!
What are "timeless" resources about AI/ML (including foundational and historic stuff) you would recommend?
Currently "Deep Learning" by Goodfellow and "Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach" seem to fit this bill for me.
@schrotthaufen @mene I think it is every decent ^^
I first though it is GenAI generated :D
Any of you are already adding some "mauve" AI features to your traditional applications? What kind of use cases and architectures do you primarily encounter?
Or is everyone just building novelty chat bots?
@joschi I've lived without this rule my entire life xD
I think it only just changed, now that there are pics from our son to backup :)
What are recommendations for a home NAS? Specifically for archiving private pictures and videos? Just some Synology device?
Also, I tend to use iCloud nowadays, so bonus points if somehow integratabtle as an offsite backup :)
