On my way back to Zurich from the Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Literatur Mainz. The train is only 25 min late so far.

@vicgrinberg Congratulations!
NGC1931 aka "The Fly" is a mixed emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga, sometimes also dubbed as a "miniature version of Orion". Like Orion's trapezium, NGC1931 also has a cluster of bright stars near its center. https://astrobin.com/jbg32f #astrophotography 🔭📷
Nothing better than a beautiful small bookstore, poesia clozza, and a pink bench in then sun around the corner ;)
My sisters incredibly cute cat has been taking the train, having a look around and sharing light conversation:

Good interview with Justine Triet: “You don’t want to be ridiculous and brutal, and say, “Go screw yourselves, I’m only hiring women.” On my set, though, all the electrical jobs were done by women, and they aren’t, usually. So I was very proud of that.” - The Problem of the Too-Truthful Woman https://www.newyorker.com/culture/the-new-yorker-interview/the-problem-of-the-too-truthful-woman
Glowing helium, neon, argon, krypton and xenon, in Message Not Sent, by Swiss artist Raphael Hefti (now on view at the Kunsthaus)
Last lecture of the semester - the hydrogen atom ;)
This week we finally arrived at the Schrödinger equation and remembering Leiden last summer I asked the students if this is the formula they see all over town and now I’m certain they think I’m crazy for the equation is nowhere to be found
Viele Fragen nach meiner Vorlesung, Die unerträgliche Leichtigkeit der Neutrinos, an der Senior:innen Universität Zürich - ein sehr interessiertes Publikum :)
@vicgrinberg I can’t wait to meet them and listen to their talks… also, I love Berlin :)
