So I've been making frumenty with my own homemade chicken stock. In go foraged mushrooms, whatever vegetables and leftovers in the fridge need to be used up, salt, pepper, sometimes some nutmeg, as well as milk and eggs a few minutes before serving.

And... It's *good*. It's *really* good. Like, I've been forgoing modern meals and takeaway just so I can have more frumenty.

Even just made with water, it's good.

I kinda want to do a conference talk on fibre-bearing plants in urban environments. How to identify them, how to process them, their historical usages, and then how to turn their fibre into cordage and basketry. A particular focus would be on not having to buy *anything*.

There are sustainability conferences where this is a perfect fit, but I have an urge to submit to IT conferences, simply because if I'm so excited by this, others might be too. Am I mad?

The local repair cafe said they were starting up a WhatsApp channel for all the volunteers. I said that was a great idea, but I no longer use Meta products on principal, so I won't be joining.

The next day I'm told they're actually starting a Signal group instead, because they *really* want me in the channel.
