@zkat ehh? nope
@elilla One exception for me: even if someone disagrees or is against me, I like those posts so they know it's still friendly on this side.
@arcueid even though I'm not a fan, I love seeing other people's passions so go off!
@NaraMoore Already done with YagaKimi but I'll check out the side story.
I also wasn't much into Citrus. It was okay. I was initially surprised at how many manga the English readers all had as favorites that I thought were... lackluster. But then I learned there weren't a lot of them translated (officially) for a long time.
@NaraMoore really I need to start reading the WataOshi LN. I heard it's good. And I saw the Japanese one in the section where Rei talks about gender being important to her, but also about how gay people are often forced to act the stereotype of gay for survival. it was really good stuff.
@NaraMoore omg! we both have YasaKan, that's one of my absolute faves
I have SayoBara (shortname of Sayonara Rose Garden) and YagaKimi coming in my next manga wave.
I really really liked Strawberry Panic! I think I'll read the LN next.
@NaraMoore yeah that's what most people are doing! (according to industry stats)
you can add me on AniList if you want~
@chikorita157 @NaraMoore WataOshi is so good!
@schmutzie So this AI is delusional?
@cherryblossomgirl please!
@MsDropbear42 Perfect explanation of my own heart too. And thanks for saying it because it reminded me to double check any future scenes I write to make sure emotions are primary over mechanics.
@imp I'd like to test. I'm looking for exactly this which isn't archive of our own. I do need it to support Japanese characters though
Is it plaintext, rich text (its own), markdown, what?
@MsDropbear42 I just noticed I should've added more emotional context. The more explicit an intimate depiction is, the less it affects me. I guess I'm just more affectionate than romantic? I can read manga with a full depiction of a sex scene, and keep a straight face.
But the way this was written so suggestively without saying anything burrowed deep into the core of my heart and made feelings gush out.
You know?
@jdp23 @Curator @davidgerard then small reforms like searchability etc will never change the relationship to that type.
Rather, the people forcibly take over and make Twitter public property like a park or library. In that case, its centralization would work for the people instead of against them. Fighting that power with pure quantitative reduction (private mastodon) is just running away from the root of the problem: private ownership. Not monopoly, which would be progressive if monopoly is public (like public education)
But if instance servers are truly owned by the users, as a collective, then the relationship itself is different.
