David

Software engineer. I own a dog named Finn. I like plants, video games and food. Say hi :)

Games I enjoy the most: factory automation (Factorio/Satisfactory), Survival (Valheim/Project Zomboid etc), Grand Strategy (Europa Universalis/Victoria). Though I play a lot of stuff outside of these genres.

@repeattofade I had a French tutor when I was in secondary school called Antoine who my mum was in love with. He claimed he had no idea what “sacré blu” meant. I think he was a fake French.

@anandamide not strictly on topic but I’d also really recommend Things Fall Apart as a really interesting bit of fiction en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Things

Corvids are really a cooperative subject because of their curiosity and intellect. The photographer’s patience is often rewarded.

Finn is having a tough time in this heat without air conditioning. Any tips for helping him cope welcome.

He is mid pant. He is a very good boy.

@age I’m of the tedious opinion that until the state starts constructing houses at scale (either council or for private purchase) nothing will ever change regarding our housing supply and associated costs :(

@age In Chiswick there are completely built (but internally unfinished) blocks of flats which have had no work done to them in over a year. My pet theory is this exact thing - they want to drip feed developments onto the market to keep prices up.
