The badge drama at #WHY2025 was a low point in many ways. The community needs to learn from this.

Disclaimer: I do not know all the details of the backstory but the short version is: at some point the team working on the badge was rage quitting for some reasons and another team took over which resulted in a lot of stress.

While the original team was busy putting up schadenfreude-memes the new team tried to deliver on the overpromise that was the original badge design.

@c_v_e_n seems the @cbase c-tube is down. Just wanted to see the fireside with @cwebber but only see a 502.
Got a bit busy yesterday so could not watch live. Tried to tune in when walking - but the stream stopped when switching off the display of the phone.

@cbase Big up @c_v_e_n for the initiative! Like the video part - but the activitypub part in @peertube does not convince me. I think it would be much better if I could write a "comment" or "like" record in my AT protocol PDS that I oauth into would be much nicer UX and design. Currently the UX here is really bad. It asks me to login - but one cannot login there ..

As everyone is complaining about EOF recently I join the party: really hate the acronym - always reading End Of File here .. *SCNR*
