@zenspider wouldn’t be surprised, considering the elm compiler is written in Haskell

One of the greatest things to come out of Elm—and there were many—was the comma alignment:

foo =
[ “first”
, “second”
, “third”
]

Indisputably S-Tier. Don’t @ me

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I’ve been made redundant at my job. If you want to hire an excellent Apple platforms developer (iOS, etc.) with 17 years of experience, time at Apple, and lots of SwiftUI experience, or a great Ruby on Rails developer, reach out.

Full-time or freelance. Ready to go immediately. Please spread the word. #Swift #RubyOnRails #GetFediHired

@georgetakei impressive stories to be sure, but a human’s worth should not be measured in hypothetical future-returns-to-shareholders. We should not be denying people because their capitalistic expectancy might not be exceptional.

Dads: Are you OK?

The response, of course would be: No, I’m dad.

Anyone who has attended a Forward Madison game will be familiar with the call/response chant "Who do we sing for?" / "WE SING FOR MADISON".

Our local supporter group is doing a run of shirts with "We Sing for Madison" in your choice of Arabic or Ukrainian - proceeds will go to the International Rescue Committee to support their work in Gaza and Ukraine.

Please consider ordering one, or sharing this with others who might be interested.

Probably the biggest regret of my iOS career is leaving behind the ruby community, especially the part where I don’t have a business reason to attend the last RailsConf and see all my #rubyfriends. 😢

@Catfish_Man good point. At my last EDG, I asked the doctor ahead of time to remind me to fetch my phone from the patient locker and record the postop discussion. Worked great!

@pointfreeco FYI: you would get the Flagged dynamic list and tagging in the simulator if you a) sign in to iCloud on the simulator and b) “update” your reminders app with the in-app CTA button. Ask me how I know 🫥

@SwiftOnSecurity I’m told that when this prefab metal bridge (yellow) was installed under this existing HV line (pylon in red), they had some real induction issues. Just the physical act of moving the the bridge into place caused problems. (Madison, WI)

Tilted satellite view of a metal bicycling/pedestrian bridge going across US Highway 12/14/18/151 (known as the beltine in Madison), with a high voltage pylon next to it
