Friendly reminder that LA is just fine. There have been riots here before. That’s not happening now though. I was a couple minutes away from the demonstrators on my commute the past few days and the people I saw were just walking their dogs, shopping, paying too much $ for food truck food. Typical basic shit. We don’t need the national guard or marines. They’re there to provoke a response.

I don’t know, 80-20 odds seem pretty good to me.

I know that a lot of people have pointed out that if the LA protests get violent it would just be the pretext Trump is looking for, which is probably true, but a big part of me thinks that speed running the civil war and the subsequent dissolution of the USA might be the call.

My wife just asked me if I saw that Rocky died.

Sure enough it was the same guy, happy and content in his new digs. I love a happy ending.

I recently found out he’d been adopted but was surprised today when the person who took him in reached out to me after seeing my original post on the local lost and found pets page, and said “Hey, I think I adopted that cat you posted about.”

🧵So this is pretty cool. A couple months back, I was able to get this orange tabby that was hanging around into a shelter. Really sweet cat. Super friendly. Almost hated to see him go.
