You can fit many other minor values in to mix it up and personalize. But at the end of the day, if you aren't a socialist, I question your humanity.

Everyday I get to witness today's unfortunate 10,000 realize that some particular extractive capitalist organization was never really their friend after all.
I wish they were bright enough to realize that *no* extractive capitalist organization is *anyone's* friend, *ever*.
But they seem to experience each event as an isolated dot, and have either insufficient will or insufficient ability to draw a line connecting the dots.

Putin keeps bombing Ukraine, but today the Danish Minister of Business Development Morten Bødskov signed a deal with his Ukrainian counterpart Herman Smetanin, which means Ukraine will now open weapons factories in Denmark.
And yes, Denmark is a NATO country, so good luck bombing those factories, Putin.

This is the saddest July 4 in my memory. The United States is plunging into vile right-wing dictatorship, in large part because once-vital institutions -- including Big Journalism -- have chosen to be quislings when courage was needed.
It's not too late to reverse our decline, but it's close.
