@tnt to my knowledge they don't do crypto offload on the nic anymore, but they tell you to use a xeon with QAT
@tnt well yes, those are two different nic families the x500 it’s more a general purpose comparing to the x700 which is for server with specific overlay virtualisation needs like VXLAN (or dpdk)

c3isdn says goodbye for #38c3 - it was an amazing event, and a lot of work. Technically the network worked fine at least on day2/3/4. We've had some problems with PPP services and lots of ideas of what and how to improve next time. Reach out if you want to get involved.
