@witix @Albi still, I would find it weird for you to be able to update to such a thing without breaking something else in Android, maybe with root, the signatures ARE different.

@witix @Albi there is an issue with android where if a system app like settings is the same version, and it is updated to a version that's older but the same versionCode (which it usually is, between Android releases) would allow potential exploitation of old exploits so in a way that sounds good

If you are going rootless microg, it might be worth going with CalyxOS rather than Lineage. You can even lock your bootloader safely and Fdroid with aurora store works perfectly right out of the box.
