i may reject your follow request -- dont take it personally. if you do, look into therapy (this isn't snark. i'm serious -- therapy is life changing)

phrase left reverberating in my head upon waking: you can't lose anything in a dream but you might find something
@vilmibm what a queen
ill leave whether you or the server being a queen to be intentionally vague/ambiguous and not actually make much sense, leaving even more room for interpretation okay this explanation has went on too long
As someone who works in higher-ed and also has taught middle school and high school aged kids, my opinion is not that LLM use is exploding among students because they're lazy or stupid or anything else
it's because our educational system has prioritized a very transactional "do this bullshit, and you get the credentials you need to have a life" approach for
well
maybe forever, really
and no one should be surprised that adversarial approaches by teachers and administrators are being met with an adversarial approach by students
@archenoth hahahha thats extra hilarious. to be honest, ive only heard southern ontario people talk like that lol.
lol i feel like when i see a funny video of an "alberta accent", it should just be renamed to "rural canadian accent" cause 100% thats how everyone talks in my (small -- around 2000 people) hometown and all the small towns adjacent to it and im certainly not living in alberta
maybe even "bushwacker accent" or "bushwaccent" lol
like last year, we're not doing a pride logo. If you have to change your logo in June, you're not being gay enough throughout the year
@alilly @m455 i couldn't come up with a funny wrong answer and instead fell down a tyrannical wikipedia hole where i learned that they're called saltines for the baking salt (i.e. baking powder) that gives the dough its bubbles, not for the salt sprinkled on them, which probably has something to do with the fact that all the low sodium versions call themselves "unsalted tops" saltines lest you think there's no salt within or on the bottom i guess
@WEATHERISHAPPENING fuck where we all gathering i got my mug
NIGHT COFFEE
dont talk to me until you have fed me 48 premium plus saltine crackers
You may ask, why are you still doing fundraisers?
Because we donβt do this with Venture Capital. We have gotten this farβ¦Punk AF, one T-shirt as a time.
We donβt accept enshittified dollars. Yes, there have been offers.
We do this grassroots and how we see as righteous. No sellout.
The revolution will not be monetized.
Getting our people out to talk and spread the word and community of Veilid costs money.
We want to keep doing this work, and want to spread the word of a a safer more privacy centric network experience.
But we need your help.
Veilid exists, and new tools keep coming online, but getting the word out is critical.
Here is our fundraiser. Every dollar made will go directly to Veilid Foundation.
Help us continue to get the word out globally.
