@smallsco I worked at a telecom company for a good number of years ( mostly managed VOIP services but we had a large WAN and software that powered call centers, etc )

There was this creaky old test server that should've been shut down long ago, but we kept it running almost entirely because it had unfiltered access to the POTS trunks.

It had a script called "rick.sh", which took three arguments: number to dial, whatever you wanted to stuff into the caller ID field, and a .WAV file - with a well known default if you're feeling lazy.

People would see their cell phone ring, think it's mom, answer and nope it's Rick Astley. This paired nicely with the call recording system for followup mayhem.
