@asuph.bsky.social this is exactly what my first attempts where looking like. Cooler whole milk(it won't taste as good) is much easier to work with.
Alexandros Martakis, based in #Greece.
This space is mostly dedicated to my work and research on #coffee.
I have a profound and serious interest in a wide range of topics, including music, art, science, books, coding, math, and philosophy, viewing them as interconnected rather than separate entities.
In my free time, I enjoy writing about coffee, striving to create the best possible work available, on each topic I explore.
@asuph.bsky.social this is exactly what my first attempts where looking like. Cooler whole milk(it won't taste as good) is much easier to work with.
But its highly scalable and maintainable when using components and component-based libraries like React or Vue.
I get the idea of messy bloated html, and why people dislike it, don't get me wrong.
But while some developers argue that utility classes in HTML resemble inline styling, which violates separation of concerns.
My counterpoint is that tailwind offers the advantage of leveraging utility classes while still maintaining the benefits of reusable design tokens.
@catgirlQueer Hahaha!
I find tailwind amazing.
I style everything from html, and then I purge it and end up with a 10kb css for my whole project.
Super fast loading times, and fast development.
I find that with sage/bedrock tailwind, you get a scalable and super fast setup.
Yesterday we published an article about #coffee culture in #Ukraine and how it’s still popular despite the war. You can read it through the link!

@MichaelTBacon There was a study from 2002, which I couldn't locate with my quick search (but I may find it later), suggesting that caffeine reaches your bloodstream faster the noment it is dissolved in your stomach with water.
@Fyrd Today as I was trying to make roots/sage work on windows, I ended up on it. Its 100% ai written. The article was was a mix new and outdated commands, that shouldn't be on the same article.
@keefeglise Absolutely! Sound and taste are so subjective, and that’s exactly what they rely on to sell us overpriced gear.
Add some amazing design and marketing on top, and it’s easy to get sucked in.
Personally, I think the best value for coffee is quality beans, and for audio, it’s in a good pair of headphones or to audio treat a space like a small room.
@keefeglise The audiophile market is flooded with overpriced equipment, and it is impossible to tell where genuine quality ends and exaggerated pricing begins.
Sure, there are notable differences between amps and speakers, especially in terms of build quality, sound staging, and overall clarity. But beyond a certain level, the improvements become so minor that they’re indistinguishable. Not to mention the ridiculous 5.000$ cables that are proven to not do shit all.
@espressolover That was a great article. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.
It might be good to know that the oil estimator doesn't seem to work on my end.
@annecavicchi Damn. This woman's soul couldn't take anymore oppression. Lets hope she doesn't pay it with her life.
@aardrian If anything, you’ve set the bar high for future tastings: now you get to walk in like a connoisseur who picks up on "bold notes of freshly vacuumed shag."
Honestly, “carpet” isn’t that unusual a descriptor when people dont have the word to match the smell/taste—there are earthy, musty, or funky notes in certain beans.
@jni Thanks Juan! I put a lot of effort to make everything aesthetically pleasing,
so its great to hear that you enjoyed the art!
@SnowshadowII When I meet such people (like a taxi driver yesterday, explaining to me how china controls earthquakes, weather and hurricanes) I dont argue.
I believe you cant argue a total fool. Instead I join their insanity and make even bolder suggestions to find out where theit limits are.
@ezarowny @espresso @coffeegeek @coffee Thanks, Eric. Noted! I’ll look into it and let you know. For some models, the database we used isn’t reliable, so we’re correcting everything now.
@obfuscurity Not at the moment as they are not available in Europe. I'll make sure to reach out to my American colleagues so we can test the Kafateks models.
A month ago, I decided to create the best possible resource on #coffee grinding available.
After consideration, I chose to break it down into a 9-part illustrated series that follows a logical progression on each step. Each part will include interactive elements and quizzes.
I started by developing a tool that shows grind settings for over 120 grinders, and I would love to hear any feedback or feature ideas you might have!

@rzeta0 That was brilliant, Tariq! Only a gifted communicator can explain things the way you did in this video. I’ll be sure to follow your work!
