Honestly, I don't want GrapheneOS partner with Lenovo owned Motorola, or any brands that located in where the mentioned parent company located, for me, simply because data privacy and data handling issues on their devices' "officially customized" stock Android OS.

It's so sad about when these bullies bullied for at least 5 years to some people who step out and fight for rights, and then these bullies just throw them into the prison without saying any proper evidence. These bullies definitely still haven't awake...

Hi all, forgot to say happy new year to you all. I have some family matters need to take care of in the last few months and that why I haven't posted (again) since last September. I'm still here to lurk and just read posts for now... oh and sometimes pretending I'm a squid. :splatoon: Hope I can post more (slightly improved) drawing posts this year if I can.

It's a bit sucks that when companies doesn't allow to install the open-source plus more privacy-focus forks or alternatives of the application, like Firefox and Floorp/LibreWolf/etc.

I asked them once before just because the privacy configs made months ago by Mozilla (I think it's related to tracking protection) so people can have more choices to use, but then they said that these forks or alternatives are disallowed because of some kind of safety measures, and also not necessary to allow that.

I'm just want to said that it's easy to move away from these apps to another more privacy friendly alternative by myself, persuade family members, friends and workmate to move is a totally another story - unless they learnt that the hard way.

Yesterday I just took action to move my family group I managed to Signal (because it has some popularity where I live, and it's better than WhatsApp, which will push ads and paid plans to users, etc.).

And then my mom just ask me "Are we never going to use WhatsApp anymore??"

I said "No, at least not yet for now, our relatives still uses it."

Ah, It would be great if they all can use, or at least try to learn how to communicate using Matrix, and then move to it.

I finally beat side order.

Well, it's about a year late with severals trial, error and time breaks from it, but at least it's great that I finally can go to Inkopolis Square.

After the second thought... now I kinda want to buy an NS2 just because the Splatoon spin-off game

I'm recently a bit interested into mobile operating system that is not based on Android, and I thought about trying out postmarketos on my trusty, old Note 3. However it's not stable enough for the device because most functionality are currently non-functional as described so I'm a bit not sure.

When I tried to figuring out why my mom's laptop is too slow to boot into live USB (to see if it's faster to boot to Linux compare to Windows), it immediately smoked up and I found that the capacitor was short-circuited because of the contact with my screwdriver.

That's fine, it is equipped with a Celeron CPU, and has been used for over 3 yrs, which I think it's time for her to get a new and better one.

Chaotic website code makes me a bit frustrated.

Especially when the maintainer before me preferred to concatenate all the HTML code as string variable, then printed them all out...

I found an app supports Misskey and its forks (mine has Sharkey so yes) from a Lemmy post few days ago, called Aria, it's UI is great.

Before then I used another one for a long time that not supported officially, and it cannot normally show post in the app home page, but as far as I know that Sharkey API is compatible with Mastodon, and I was able to login through the app, so I have stopped worried about it for a while since then.
