Today marks 78 years since the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp by the Red Army, yet Russia was excluded from the ceremony. This is unheard of and v insulting. The USSR was first to reach Berlin, inflicted 80% of German casualties, and lost 27 million of its own people.

When Rich says the USSR was first to reach Berlin, he means the First Ukrainian Front and the First and Second Belarussian Fronts, majority composed of natives of those SSRs.

It's completely unclear why he thinks Russia gets the credit for that.

But he does.

When this war began I expressed my worry that a defeated Russia may become even worse. That Russian nationalists would craft a "stabbed in the back" myth like the Germans did after WW1. Some of you dismissed me then, but I think we are already on the road to that dark place.

It must be amazing to have so little integrity that not only do you make an appeal to popularity fallacy, but do so in a way that's flat out factually wrong, from condemnation to humanitarian aid to arms.

& Nixon will only engage with people he thinks he can accuse of being bots

Hey @CdnPressStyle@twitter.com you ever try to stop me from talking about the French I'm going to send you a sternly-worded letter with as many Oxford commas as I can fit.

RT @APStylebook@twitter.com

We recommend avoiding general and often dehumanizing β€œthe” labels such as the poor, the mentally ill, the French, the disabled, the college-educated. Instead, use wording such as people with mental illnesses. And use these descriptions only when clearly relevant.

Russian helicopter with "To Berlin" on it at the start of the war invading its neighbors.

"Wah, wah can you believe Germany is actually sending tanks? *Vague Nazi reference as if Hitler just shot himself as the First Ukrainian Front was taking Berlin*"

@byMatthewBest@twitter.com @tomas_foolery_@twitter.com @mtracey@twitter.com They're not concerned about any genetic changes because Chernobyl has had no effect. It's been sealed, there's no protection to be had. You could go there right now and visit if you wanted. It's an excuse to be fascist. Chernobyl as a disaster is a western myth

Russia supporters claiming Chernobyl as a disaster is a "Western myth," so Ukraine's constitutional article dealing with Chernobyl as a state responsibility is an excuse to be fascist.

Russia supporters are just the most serious people.

ACLU has been pissing me off lately.

First backing off politically protected but grossly unpopular (frankly odious) speech and now acting like private parties implicate government censorship.

This is the right call. Like it or not, President Trump is one of the country’s leading political figures and the public has a strong interest in hearing his speech. twitter.com/nytimes/status/161

This person is insisting that a paragraph in the Ukrainian constitution *that refers Chernobyl by name is not referring* to Chernobyl.

I'm not kidding.

It's like if you have a neighbor who breaks into a different house every night and eventually someone shoots him. It's not remotely surprising. It's an age old tale of hubris.
