Yet we're all held hostage by the nation state with such violent underpinnings that our minds reject the truth: the empire we live under is dying.

Why havenʼt we put advertising on traffic signals yet? The very definition of a captive audience. People staring at that red light waiting for it to turn could be looking at a Coca-Cola logo. The talking crosswalk signal could be suggesting you take advantage of the BOGO deal on Slim Jims at the shop across the street. Bring in some revenue for the city. Get on it, people!

New Age religion is clearly more influenced by Western esotericism than Vedic tradition. Specifically, these elements:

• astrology
• Hermeticism
• Neo-Platonism
• Kabbalah

Wildly, ideas that may seem Vedic can also be found in earlier Western esoterica. For example, Pythagoras believed in reincarnation and the transmigration of souls.

I’m not saying reincarnation is not of Vedic origin. But the idea isn’t a recent introduction to the Western world.

Now why do I mention this? Because while New Age may borrow several of the aesthetics of Vedic religion—chakras, karma, meditation—it lacks the cosmological and mystical rigour.

For example, Buddhist thought centers on the dissolution of ego. But The Secret, a New Age bestseller, encourages ego-driven desire as a spiritual mechanism: “like attracts like.”

That’s not transcendence. It’s metaphysical consumerism.

I was only a kid back in 2020 but I remember seeing this on TV and it shocked tf out of me and knew it was cops v us.
Remember George today but also all the other black men murdered by cops.

Got some responses to my posts about CASABLANCA along the lines of "I wasn't expecting it to be good, because it's black and white. But it turned out to be really good!"

And while I love many black and white movies, I get it. B&W means "old," and old movies can have a lot of baggage for a modern audience. They were paced differently than modern movies are. They were directed differently, acted differently.

I feel like the world needs a Black and White Movie Appreciation Starter Kit. A list of B&W movies that absolutely still stand up for modern viewers. Slam dunks.
