Visually impaired users relying on quick access to links only get a bunch of them stating "link". Can we stop re-inventing things that work?

@codepo8 saw that format in their newsletter which seemed to be trumpeted as clever. It’s not. Why do people think this approach is remotely useful?

Seemingly co-authored by Elite creator David Braben and a sociopath, Zarch was primarily known to Brits via a Lander demo kids would sneak on to school computers. The full game expanded on its eye-popping 3D landscapes and absurdly twitchy gameplay, as you attempted to use the mouse to coax your craft to blow up enemies while not inconveniently crashing into a tree.

@console @gruber GDPR legislation has genuinely improved how businesses treat user data in the UK and the EU, but the cookie banners still suck. I’m honestly staggered that the W3C and/or browser vendors have not agreed to a common UI approach that makes this better for the user.
