It's honestly not particularly hard to attack critical infra, but if you do, you're just as bad if not worse than the people who ransomware hospitals.
Happy 56th Birthday 2 All The Hackers! 🎉
This is the first year for BGGP that there are less entries than previous years! There are still 3 weeks left. Check out the repo and send in a weird little file!!
My top 4 art pieces of 2025
The first one is ASCII art, the rest are physical collages created with scissors, glue, stickers, stamps, typewriter, and photocopier.

Hell yeah!!
My 3.3-9v ass when a power engineer mf calls 480v "Low Voltage"
There have been a few linux bugs related to this that seem relevant. I like the name "tug-o-war memory model"!

Part 1 of my #BGGP6 writeup about nasm's most mysterious object file format, RDOFF.
wow, this 30-year-old floppy drive supports AI!
now that's forward compatibility for ya.
@mirabilos
That seems to be the story all over haha
@mirabilos Did you ever use them for anything? It feels like a very forgotten format. nasm hasn't been able to emit a valid .rdf since at least mid 2018! All the tools for it were removed as of 2.16
here are the screenshots from today, the rdx binary running global.rdf, the file I created with my library
RE: https://haunted.computer/@netspooky/115601182009997129
Today I got RDOFF (.rdf) files working in nasm 2.15. I wrote my own lib bc nasm didn't generate properly. Also patched the 32-bit loader in rdx with mmap tricks (shoutout ixi). An executable RDOFF has likely never run on a 64 bit system before today. Writeup soon! #BGGP6

Also, this is a golfed EROFS filesystem by bilger321! I love the base64 ASCII art in the padding. When you mount the filesystem it contains a file named "6".

Doing this again! This time I am looking into resurrecting an old object file format using scapy, and will probably look at some more entries for #BGGP6 . If you're working on any cool file stuff or just want to chat, come thru!
@binarygolf taking a little break, will be back on in a bit
