@jws query both at the same time? Oh, that's what you meant by there being no priority order... Well, that doesn't solve my problem of trying to reduce NextDNS calls.
Maybe I'll set it up so that at home, my calls go to PiHole+Unbound (which forums are telling me is a good idea) and outside (where I'm almost always connected to my tailnet via VPN), I'll rely on NextDNS...
@jws oooh nice!
and good on you for setting up a test tailnet 😄
@jws also, how did you break your pihole config regularly?
@jws thanks for the reply, Jay. I like NextDNS too, but I realize that I'm going over the 300k queries limit every month. So by the end of the month they're not blocking ads anymore.
When I went to add pihole and then NextDNS to tailscale, it gave me -
"You can’t mix NextDNS with other global resolvers. Are you sure you want to delete all your other resolvers?"
So maybe it's just a deal they have with NextDNS to drive people towards paying for NextDNS?
Folks, can I use #NextDNS *and* #PiHole in #tailscale? Perhaps PiHole with NextDNS as its backend?
But I do need a fallback DNS if my pihole is not accessible...
So...
RSS never tracked you.
Email never throttled you.
Blogs never begged for dopamine.
The old web wasn’t perfect.
But it was yours.
@cathos hah! So you're looking for a PKM system that... either reflects the mess in your mind while making it easier to search? Or you want one that sorts the mess and helps you think in an orderly fashion?
Also, "hah" because all our minds are mush. That's why we're all in the PKM space 😅
@cathos hmmm. That sounds like an interesting problem!
Is the interface heavy because of the UX elements or the number of plugins you use? Maybe changing the theme will help a bit?
Incidentally, what theme do you use? I use AnuPpuccin since I set this up a year and change ago and haven't used anything else since. What else is out there, I wonder...
@kapsar sounds good! I've had it on my TBR since a while now, it seems. Guess I'll bump it up!
@kapsar huh. Library at Mount Char was on a whole new level for me. So I wonder what Piranesi is all about? 🙂
@kims @GiftArticles I love it too. Such a wonderful service. I end up reading most of the articles I come across on this account!
