@stroughtonsmith I agree, the speaker really is decent, and I’m coming from a 14 PM.
Not having stereo separation when watching videos in landscape is a slight downgrade but not really a dealbreaker for me.

I’m not super active on here, but a few folks asked me to share when I drop new content over on my blog. So here’s _everything_ new in UIKit in iOS 26!
@viticci sent some info about the upcoming @LiftinApp update with Liquid Glass and Foundation Models integration. 🙂
If someone else want to check it out I have a public beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/WTXiGTTA
@marcoarment I think the now playing screen doesn’t need any Liquid Glass buttons except for maybe the “minimize” toolbar button in the upper left.
I think your existing screen would look good as is within a redesign. I would focus on the layer below with a search tab bar, accessory view for the mini player and updated navigation bar. My 2 cents. 🙂
@stroughtonsmith are you using a mix of UIKit and SwiftUI?
My app is UIKit based but I use a lot of SwiftUI in TableView cells. It feels like I get the best of both worlds when using hostingcontrollers, can really recommend this approach.
@stroughtonsmith just finished my update for @LiftinApp, quite happy with the results!
I have a public TestFlight if someone wants to try it out https://testflight.apple.com/join/WTXiGTTA
