Have been spending the week so far working on a plugin for #OctoPrint's new comm layer that will be part of 1.12.0 & as of earlier today I'm able to print on Moonraker enabled Klipper based printers😁
This went faster than expected thanks to all that refactoring that I started shortly before x-mas, and I'm incredibly happy that the architecture approach I had worked so well & actually makes adding support for a different connection type this easy!
Plenty of bugs to fix ofc, but it's ALIVE!

@Rooktallon This is about an OctoPrint update.
OctoPrint is OctoPrint regardless of what operating system it runs on, so yes, this is about any kind of OctoPrint install, be it on windows, on an RPi or somewhere else.
Don't confuse OctoPrint, the software, with OctoPi, a specific image containing it.

@LeonianUniverse @Rooktallon OctoPrint works just fine with Klipper, but it currently needs to talk to its virtual serial port directly for that. That's not exposed via network & normally not even by moonraker.
The goal is to make OctoPrint be able to talk with Moonraker in a future version, which will make all of this easier, but we are not there yet.
In the meantime your options are trying to get OctoPrint to run on the printer talking directly to Klipper, or Klipper's eco system.
@LeonianUniverse Hey, I also happen to have a Q1 Pro that I bought to work on direct compatibility with the Klipper based tech stack in plenty of printers out there now. So better support there is forthcoming, but there's still a lot to do for that.
In the meantime you might be able to install OctoPrint directly on the Q1 Pro, but I haven't tried that myself. I suggest you get in touch on the forums at community.octoprint.org
