If you work in government and are asked to remove content from websites (as a result of executive orders), please use the HTTP status code 451 instead of 404.

451 is the correct status code to use for these cases, and you'll be doing the rest of the country a service by using it.

Addendum: you should also include a Link header with the link relation "blocked-by" that "Identifies the entity that blocks access to a resource following receipt of a legal demand."

Tried out the pixelfed app today - it's good! I created an account on gram.social rather than the main pixelfed instance, though, because I know they've been slammed with the influx of IG users.

@kraftner I was using both on my side project, but last weekend dropped Psalm. It conflicted with upgrading some other packages, and I realized there were *far* too many @psalm-suppress annotations in my code because it didn't understand things. Now my personal and professional projects all just use PHPStan.

@senki The time I rewrote my #php project in #python was a) to learn Python and b) to allow my project to run on Google's AppEngine, which didn't support PHP. It was a fun project (and might be still running for all I know).

@matthewtrask I'm keeping my Twitter account around so no one else can grab my name, but it's been private for a long time and I haven't posted there in even longer. Plus, logging in to delete it would show me as an active user for their metrics.
