I am reading #PheonixExtravagant by #YoonHaLee in Korea and it’s been a nice read so far. The Korean title is ’흐드러지는 봉황의 색채’ and it is a much nicer title - I just wonder if the Korean title is from the author or someone else. But as a bilingual this book makes me want to read the English version, because I feel like 봉황 (鳳凰) and pheonix are totally different creatures.

@Prof_Meowmers well as a native Korean speaker, but not as a korean teacher… 가지고 싶다 is to want to have something. (i.e. i want to have a toy 장난감을 가지고 싶어) As opposed to 가지고 싶다, 원하다 is to desire something in general. It could be anything- physical or conceptual. Basically you can want anything but this sounds weird in colloquial sense I.e. 1) I want water (나는) 물을 원해 this sounds very unnatural 2) I want love (나는) 사랑을 원해 bit cheesy.. sounds like phrase from a song. I hope this helps!

I finished Broken Earth trilogy by NK Jemisin… wow it took me a long time… as some scenes were very difficult to process. Need to read in English again!
