A meditating sphinx cat, a figure with sharp edges and a fragile presence. A decorative element inscribed in the geometry of the walls. It cannot survive outside the artificial environment. It becomes a mirror: does the viewer see themselves? In its vulnerability, in its decorative existence. This work speaks to the loss of basic skills, dependence on infrastructure, and human existence in a monochrome city.

"Gray skies, gray interiors, black-and-white cars, prefabricated houses—the modern world. A sphinx cat meditates in this landscape, a figure of sharp edges and a fragile presence. She is decorative; inscribed in the geometry of city walls and standardized boxes. Like a sphinx in nature, she cannot survive outside of an artificial environment. She becomes a mirror: the viewer sees themselves in her vulnerability, in her ornamental existence. This work speaks of the loss of primal skills, of dependence on infrastructure, of the human condition in a monochrome city. Minimalistically, it explores what it means to live—and what it means to merely exist—in the modern world."
