@isaiah could be dehydration as well.
😂 She did not hold back on her review of the Benson Boone cookie from Crumbl.
“If the singer Benson Boone were a cookie, he’d taste, in this reporter’s opinion, unpleasant. The flavor would be cloyingly sweet and frosted with notes of lemon, berry and an unnameable processed aftertaste that lingers on the tongue as if you’ve just woken up and have yet to brush your teeth.”
@farah I know, right? It takes years of planning and spending for the greater good. Must be nice to live in such a society. 🤔 🇺🇸
Sneak preview:
Kid1 is designing veliciraptor (high heel) shoes
(Flat toe bits will get small claws, and of course rest of shoe will be built)
Another static, unchangable root password in Cisco gear. In 2025.
Today we visited a waterfall that was worth the hike. Latourell Falls in the Columbia River gorge, Oregon, US.

No name. No badge. No ID. No warrant. Face covered. That’s not an officer that’s an armed thug with government protection. If you can’t show who you are or why you’re detaining someone, you have no business laying a hand on them.
Matt and I have been having a long weekend since Thurs and went to the INCREDIBLE Powis Castle in Wales. Not only an amazing garden but inside the castle filled with treasures. Highly recommend. #powiscastle #nationaltrust
Seriously, just pickup your own food and groceries . Higher prices, service fee, delivery fee. They go out of their way to hide the fees because if you view the difference side by side, you would rarely use it.
Woah another year of monthly 3D characters! Series 5 is now completed :D

@Alice Promises by Eric Clapton
AOC: “They’re making people undocumented by removing LEGAL status, then having the audacity to call them illegal… correct?” @govpritzker.illinois.gov: “Taking their legal right to be here away.” @aoc.bsky.social: “The Republican majority is anti-LEGAL immigration, I want to make that very clear.”
@isaiah I think @felix_schwarz notes that Xcode 26 AI features don’t work when Tahoe installed on external drive?
@nicklockwood Does Apple look at MacOS as a huge chunk of tech debt it can get rid of at some point? It would be good to know that sooner, rather than later.
The Japan Pavilion at the #EXPO2025 was all about sustainability. The cutest room had Hello Kitty algae. Did you know that algae can absorb 14 times as much CO2 as a cedar tree? And produce 50 times as much protein as beef for the same amount of water? But could you eat these faces? Maybe yes.
@rk reminds me of this great commercial
kinda wonky, but extremely relevant to what's been going on in tech the past couple of years: a change to the tax code in 2017 (which was engineered to fall outside the window of CBO scoring) fundamentally shifted how large companies calculate R&D, which has in turn led to a *lot* of layoffs. If you aren’t a CFO or an accountant, you may not have heard about this at all - I know I hadn’t.
This provision in the tax code (dating back to before I was born) has certainly been abused, but is also responsible for encouraging innovation in startups' early years, where it's very expensive to get momentum built up. Removing it effectively stacks the deck against innovation later on. https://qz.com/tech-layoffs-tax-code-trump-section-174-microsoft-meta-1851783502
