Urgh, my blog's so slow, I really need to redo my theme..but here's my spring TBR https://www.curiositykilledthebookworm.net/2025/03/top-ten-spring-tbr-7/
Top Ten: Spring TBR
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Looking back at my winter TBR, I read eight of them, and reviewed five, which isn't too shabby. I still have a hard time motivating myself to write reviews for non-review books. I want to but time just gets away from me. I went on a bit of a mad pre-ordering spree last month, so I have lots of books to look forward to, including plenty that didn't make this list.

Blink and you’ll miss it… February check-in
The two fewer days in February really don't explain how quickly the month rushes by. Perhaps we’re all just eager for spring to be here. First signs are emerging, with crocuses and daffodils blooming all over the place. And what is that burning orb in the sky? Could it actually be the sun? Here's Scully co-ordinating with the spring flowers:

January lasted forever but at least I read a bunch… a not-weekly check-in
Hello! It's been a while since I've done a check-in. I've not been doing much other than working, reading, walking the dog, and removing mud from said dog. I know droughts are worrying, but I miss the dry weather. On the up-side, the evenings already seem to be getting lighter. I no longer need a torch to check I don't step in any poo on the way home!

Most Anticipated Books: January – June 2025
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It's another week of telling you all about books I haven't read! This week's topic is for our most anticipated reads of the first half of the year. Before I share this year's list, I took a peek at my post from this time last year, and I did get round to reading 16 of my most anticipated.

On My Radar: January
Happy New Year! Once again, I'll be bringing you a monthly selection of books that have captured my interest. In reality I'll only read a handful of these, but those marked with ✨ I have pre-ordered in anticipation. There's also one more that I'm pretty sure I'm getting in a subscription box, but I won't spoil it for others. I've probably missed a bunch of new books, so let me know what you're looking forward to in the comments!

Best Books of 2024
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Even though I felt like I've often struggled to concentrate on reading in 2024, I still have ten five star reads to include in my list this year. It's sadly not a very diverse list, and I'll have to review what's going on there. A special mention goes to…

Firewatch is one of my favourite games ever and it’s on sale for $2 right now.
I highly recommend experiencing this game at least once. It’s atmospheric, emotional, story rich. It’ll change you.
