Reminder: climatejustice.rocks will shut down at the end of the year.

To be more exact we decided that we'll use January as a transition month. The instance will not immediately shut down, but all accounts will be frozen. That means you can then no longer post or read and interact with posts. You'll only be able to access the settings via the browser. In the settings you can find the migration feature and move your account elsewhere, e.g. climatejustice.social.

Aja, und wenn ich dich schon hier habe: Hast du schon mitbekommen, dass climatejustice.rocks mit Ende des Jahres abgeschaltet wird? Wir haben beschlossen, dass es nicht viel Sinn macht 2 Server mit identischen Zielen zu hosten. .rocks habe ich damals, wie die große Welle von Twitter hergekommen ist geöffnet, weil climatejustice.social überfordert war, aber jetzt wird das sehr professionell gehostet und das kann nicht mehr passieren. Aber im Sinne der Ressourcenschonung macht es halt mehr Sinn, die Server zusammenzulegen.

Es würde mich sehr freuen, wenn du auf climatejustice.social umziehen würdest. Auch wenn du nicht sehr aktiv bist, freut es mich immer, von dir zu hören.

@Brad_Rosenheim ugh. It's like whac-a-mole with these horrendous scrapers.

I wish Mastodon gave mods the option to automatically block all accounts and instances with defined strings in their names.
I keep a list of words that I have to search for regularly in account names and instance urls to grow the blocklist.

Please remove the https:// from the link in your post and add a warning about the picture in the link (not a CW for the post, just before the link).
Right now the picture is displayed in the link preview and that can be very distressing to some people.

There are 3 things I think you might be confusing:

1. The migration feature can be found in Settings > Account > Moving to/from a different account. This will move your follows and followers.

2. The "request your archive" feature in "import and export" gives you a zip you can't really use for anything

3. Also in "import and export" you can download csvs you can import on the new account if you also want to move lists, your blocks/mutes & bookmarks. Make sure you import the right file for the right category.

Unfortunately there is no way to take posts with you, as Mastodon doesn't support that yet. If there are any posts you want to have on the new profile you'll have to repost them there manually.

Also admins (and I believe mods) can trigger the refresh of a remote profile in the moderation interface of that profile.
But its probably not necessary often.

Einige Accounts verstecken die Follower und Follows absichtlich.
Sonst sollte es möglich sein, wenn du das Profil auf der Originalseite aufmachst.
Bzw. von Accounts auf dem gleichen Server, auf dem du bist, also climatejustice.rocks, solltest du sie sehen, wenn sie nicht versteckt werden.
