@jawnsy Yeah I’m just catching up to the “wait, you can have more than 8G of memory” world … I don’t think I have a machine that could comfortably run a 70B parameter model let alone with an 8B parameter model too … but this is kinda like the inverse of using a smaller model as an agent for a larger model …
2025-12-22
@jawnsy That would require having both models in memory though no?

@cstross I voted no, but turns out I did know what it meant because Seanan McGuire uses it in some of her Incryptid books.

'I started to think of this as “The Cassandra Song.” It plays as follows:

1. Trump (or senior people in the movement) said (insert bad outcome or values).
2. We had good reasons to think he/they meant it.
3. We had good reasons to think his base wanted it." newrepublic.com/article/204254

@gizmomathboy @WuMargaret @genehack @minego Possibly back to GoToSocial … not sure, and I’d need to make sure that the current accounts and posts are migrated properly etc.

@genehack @WuMargaret @gizmomathboy @minego Chris has been pondering replacing the underlying software. Because he doesn’t have enough projects on his plate.

@WuMargaret @gizmomathboy @genehack @minego Sorry distracted by bay window envy, can’t help.

@fortyseven At 1:34 … was that … did Momoa get his wish?!?

2025-12-06

@WuMargaret I haven’t actually. It’s on my list but the list is long.

I’ve learned more about the movie from memes from you than anything else.

2025-12-06

@WuMargaret That’s so fetch. (I’ve never actually seen either)

2025-12-06
